{Appleby Cottages}

Although we use to live in Orlando, we always wanted to move to Mt. Dora.  With the purchase of a vacation home (Park View Cottage) in 2011 and visiting the town on the weekends we soon decided to move to this delightful little town in 2012.  With that move came another house for us to renovate, (Beehive Cottage) then about a year later we purchased our third home (Rocking Chair Cottage).

Although Mt Dora has a small town feel, that has been frozen in time, within 2 miles from the heart of town are all the modern restaurants, grocery stores and shops.  Our favorite place to go escape is the light house for Sunset and it’s always so nice to be able to walk into town and not have to worry about parking.

We now live just a mile from all of our beautiful homes and are available for any assistance you may need.

We love to shop and dine in downtown Mt Dora and it would not be unusual to run into us if you're there. Don’t hesitate to contact us for the best kept secrets of town.

{Mount Dora}

A historic, quaint area founded in the 1800's, Mount Dora is known for its small town charm. Downtown offers a wide array of shopping, dining, activities, wellness and entertainment. On the outskirts of town there is a huge antique center called Renninger's, between the two shopping areas there's something for every taste.

The downtown area overlooks Lake Dora, which is home to one of the three freshwater lighthouses in Florida. Take a stroll down to the lighthouse to see one of the most breathetaking sunsets in all of the surrounding areas. Your sure to capture priceless photos to take home to your family and friends.

The historic Mount Dora area host many festivals such as the Art & Craft Festival, Antique Extravaganza, Bicycle Festival, Holiday events and many more. This is why Mount Dora it is called 'Festival City.' There is something going on almost every weekend you will not want to miss.
